Trapped 6

Posted by MakeItSoGames - October 18th, 2008

I've decided to put off all projects to work on Trapped 6. I've realized that there are probably a lot of fans who are waiting for it to come out (it's been 3 years since Trapped 5), and it's what I'm most known for. After I release it, I can link the Trapped series with matRugDevelopments (my new alias), then put out other games I've been working on.

Trapped 6 is going to be super duper, and I have some really good ideas for it. If any fans out there read this and want to contribute some ideas, feel free! I'm going to start working with flash full time in December, but for now I'll sketch out the game on paper.

Thanks to all the fans!

man go for it, i love the trapped games.

Yes! A random person viewing this knows what Trapped is. Sweet, thanks Daniel-M.

you disgust me, pervert.

Solo Man is still coming late 2008 though, right?

I have to change that to mid 2009. Hopefully by May.

Well, just asking. Trapped 6 sounds like it's going to be amazing already. I personally like Trapped 4 the most out of the series.

If Trapped 6 is going to be as big or bigger than 5, then you seriously need a save option. lol

Thanks - it hopefully will be. I have some crazy silly ideas, and since I'll be doing flash full time soon, I can really focus on the awesomeness. I'm planning on making it bigger and badder, so yes - it will have a save option for sure. Also, there will actually be a game over screen. No more infinite lives.

New character, same gameplay, but with more and better features...you'll see.

Hey dude what's up?" love your trapped games, beat them all, although some a little bit hard though, but it was too easy. anyway what'd you been up to lately? gl with your games and flash and i hope trapped 6 will come soon.

Thanks. Graduate soon, then full-time flash work. Can't wait. T6 is coming!

Hahaha, I just beat Trapped 5. Visited 95% of the rooms in 90 minutes. All right, I changed my mind about what my favorite Trapped game is. I forgot the fifth game's awesomeness.

Good job! Yeah, I think it's better too. It's pretty long, especially if it's your first time playing it. The 1st boss is the coolest.

Oh and one more thing, where did you get the name soloman from, and it looks like a good fair game to me, i wonder what it's about hmm? also where can i get flash from?

see ya later

My friend came up with it. Doesn't really mean anything special...yet. Solo Man will be cool once I soend more time on it. Buy Flash online.

Yay. Trapped 6.

If you want a gameover screen, you should at least include an option for infinite live.s I personally liked having them.

Sweet, a sixth. A save feature would be awesome. Because in Trapped 4, I was pretty far, and then I died because I touched an enemy going through it's dying animation. So it killed me even after I killed IT. Can you fix that in 6, pleasE? Or was it already fixed in 5? I can't remember, it's been a while.

P.S.: I'm making a game with Game Maker. It's pretty much a crappy clone of Trapped. >_> Obviously, I won't be putting it on any game sites. I'll just get flamed with people saying I ripped off Trapped. =D

I'm glad to see that you decided to continue the lovely series after all this time- back in the day Trapped 4 & 5 made quite a furore. And I'm sure you're quite right in thinking there are quite a few people out there who'd love to see T6 coming out. Thus, keep up the good work!

Btw, I think I've seen this suggestion around, but it would be nice if you gave players the option to select either infinite or limited number of lives, since T5 can be quite tricky, and not all players will be skilled enough to scale the obstacles in a given amount of lives (and I assume T6 would develop further the complexities introduced in T5).

WOOOT! cant wait! i loved all the trapped games, including the first one even though it seemed a little lazy
